The Dean Mako Dave Mustaine is constructed from solid Mahogany back and sides with set in Mahogany neck for an extremely warm and rich tonality. Mahogany is a dense wood with a close grain providing a punchy and projective tone with a distinctive woody characteristic whilst the solid Spruce top delivers crisp and bright characteristics to the tone.
B-Band A3T Pre-Amp
Incorporating a powerful and versatile B-Band A3TY Preamp the Mako USA Flag can easily be connected to amplifiers and PA systems making it perfect for live performers. The B-Band A3TY Preamp system also features a range of built in controls including a 3-band EQ, presence and volume controls to allow you to shape your tone before the signal even reaches the amplifier. Perfect for quick tone adjustments between songs the A3TY Preamp also has a built in tuner with LED display for seamless tuning adjustments on the fly.
Custom D Profile Neck
With a set-in Mahogany necks sculpted to Dave Mustaine's unique specification the Mako USA Flag maintains the resonance and durability of thicker D shaped necks but with a slightly thinner profile to allow a smoother playability and easy access to the higher range.
About Dave Mustaine
Born in 1961, Dave Mustaine is an American guitarist who was the original lead guitarist for heavy metal titans Metallica. After leaving Metallica, Dave Mustaine formed the band Megadeath and has since released 14 studio albums with hit songs such as "Symphony of Destruction", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Trust". In 2006 Dave received an endorsement from Dean Guitars and has since released a series of signature models with custom specifications and unique graphic finishes.
