The ESI M8U eX is the perfect solution for processing MIDI signals. The compact and portable design features 16-channels of I/O connectivity. The versatile connections means you can use any of the 16 ports as both an MIDI input or output jack.

This allows you to configure the interface how you please. For example, you can use it in the standard 8-in/8-out style, or you could have 16 inputs or 16 outputs. This can be used for a variety of applications, with various I/O sources. It also includes a USB hub with 3 connectors for using devices such as software dongles or USB keyboards.

The MIDI connectivity is all handled automatically thanks to the automatic input/output configuration technology. This technology displays your connection via coloured LEDs, basing its choice on your connection to other MIDI input or MIDI outputs.

Rugged, USB-Powered Design

The highly compact and rugged design makes the M8U eX, highly portable. It is perfect for both studio and live applications thanks to its low-latency processing capabilities. You can even use the interface in standalone mode without a computer. You can select the different modes using the front-panel button.

If you need to expand your connectivity, you can simply link together multiple units to the computer simultaneously. It is USB-bus powered but also includes an external power supply for powering USB devices.
