THE PROFESSIONAL CHOICE FOR PERFORMANCE, VERSATILITY AND RELIABILITY
The proven performance and reliability of Avid® storage solutions offer unmatched value especially when you consider the peace of mind they provide. Before they earn the Avid name, all Avid storage systems are rigorously tested and must pass
strict design, inspection, and qualification criteria. No one else offers this level of thorough qualification to guarantee performance in the Avid environment. Add in unique features, a wide range of capacities and form factors, and a best in the
business warranty program, and it`s clear that Avid storage solutions are the optimum choice for Avid editors around the world.

Maximum 160MB/sec. transfer rate on PCI-based CPUs with Ultra 160 LVD host adapter
Maximum 80MB/sec. transfer rate on PCI-based CPUs with Ultra 2 LVD host adapter
Configuration
MediaDrive rS LVD enclosure, 3.5" self-contained (power, cooling and connections) stackable unit
Up to 15 units chained together per SCSI channel
Rackmountable with MediaDrive rS rackmount option kit
Supported Resolutions
All current Avid Video Resolutions (AVRs and JFIF) and DV
Striping requirements vary by configuration and are determined by the Avid software version, CPU, controller card, and drive type. See the Drive Striping Tables in the Documentation section of the Avid Knowledge Center for details.
Compatibility
The MediaDrive rS 320/LVD series has been qualified for use in mixed configuration with LVD and fast, wide Avid Storage devices. In mixed configurations, the non-LVD drives should be placed on a separate SCSI channel; otherwise the LVD bus will run at the rate of the slowest drive interface.
Some configurations may require special cables or adapters, which are readily available from Avid.
The rS 320/LVD drive is supported on PCI-based CPUs only.
Compatible with Digidesign Pro Tools software. Contact Digidesign for configuration details.
