The Ahead Speed Kick Two-Way Foam/Wood Beater is two handy kick drum tones in one convenient, reversible beater head. Ahead's innovative Speed Kick system uses a single, stainless steel beater shaft (included), to mount and adjust a variety of different beater head assemblies.

This Two-Way Beater takes that one further, providing both a hard, maple wood contact surface (for a loud, powerful attack) and a softer sponge side (ideal for playing cajons, for rehearsal, or for increased speed due to its incredible rebound). The beater can be adjusted to your ideal playing height along the adapter shaft's nine ridges, ensuring it strikes your bass drum skin in the perfect spot.
