These Congas are produced to a high standard especially for gear4music. Great Fun! All wooden staved shell construction with metal screw-tensioned tuning lugs and replaceable synthetic skins.

The drums may be played while seated, or mounted on the included stand to permit the player to play while standing.

Popular history in Cuba claims that the name "conga" first came to light during the processions cabildos held dancing and chanting on the streets during orishas celebrations. The popular commentaries referred to them as the congos, and from there the name conga.
