Shell packs only include the drum shells. This means any hardware or cymbals would have to be purchased separately if you don’t already own them. Some shell packs include a snare drum, so it’s worth keeping an eye out and checking exactly what shells are included. Shell packs are a great choice for intermediate/advanced drummers looking to upgrade their drums whilst keeping their existing cymbals and hardware. Smaller hardware/accessory items associated with the shells themselves will always be included. This includes hoops, drumheads, floor tom legs, bass drum spurs, and tom mounts (if applicable).
Yes. Drum shells dictate the sustain, volume and tone of your drum. Whilst thinner shells provide more sustain and a quicker attack, thicker shells have much more punch and weight – perfect for heavier styles.
All shells come with the factory heads on. We’d always recommend replacing these heads to get the most from a new kit and curate your own sound, but the heads supplied will get a usable tone from the drum regardless.
Yes. The bass drum also comes with spurs to stay in one place during performances, too!
