Kapur is a wood that is not yet widely used in the manufacturing of drums. The wood gives off fat, dry and warm tones with a well-balanced sound that are perfect for various genres of music.
Sound Arc Steel Hoops
Tama’s Sound Arc flanged hoops emphasise the great sound the snare emits, featuring inward curving rims that are gentler on the hands than regular hoops when playing rimshots. They give the snare its classic open tone and are bent inward to allow the tone of the kapur wood shell shine.
Soundworks snare drums
Tama has a wide range of snare drums in their assortment. Many of these drums are made for specific drum kits, while others are specially designed signature models, and of course there’s exclusive Sound Lab Project series. The Soundworks snare drums are a little more affordable but no less impressive. A successor to the successful Metalworks series, this line of snare drums is just as versatile.
