The Tama Starclassic Series is one of the company's premium lines of drums, and these kits are ideal for intermediate and professional drummers looking to take their playing to the next level. Featuring Tama's aluminium Star-Cast mounting system, air-cushioned floor tom legs, die-cast hoops and Evans drum heads - Starclassic drum kits are masterfully constructed with select woods to deliver a robust, long-lasting instrument with exceptional tone.

Starclassic kits are split into 3 sub-series: Walnut/Birch, Maple and Bubinga. The New for 2019 Starclassic Walnut/Birch drums are built with a mix of American Black Walnut and European Birch, these shells and have a well-balanced sound with huge projection, suited to all styles of music. Starclassic Maple kits are made from lacquered 100% Maple shells that deliver a warm, even sound with plenty of resonance and a slightly higher mid-range. Bubinga series shell kits represent the top of the Starclassic range; entirely built of 9-ply African Bubinga, these drums have a full, dark tone and a rich sustain alongside a satisfying bite.
