Close attention has been paid to the development of this drum machine. It achieves new possibilities in beat making by using the classic analog circuits of times gone by. The RD-8 allows you to use these legendary circuits to invoke nostalgia but also provides you with great features that help set your beat making process apart from the crowd. Harnessing the classic sound, you can add huge bass drum booms to your mixes, or add tight snares when creating rhythms.

It features 64-steps upon which 16 drum sounds can be added. The wave designer and dual-mode filter can give you the modern touch that these classic circuits sorely need. To bring it up to speed without losing any of its nostalgic goodness.

Tactile, responsive, real

A master of live performance. The RD-8 is built to be played live. Simple enough to program on the fly whilst on stage - it also packs a bunch of new features which help you get the most from your performances. It features step repeat, note repeat, real-time triggering, and live step overdubbing. It allows you to build song structures up at your speed - lending itself to the spontaneity of live performances.

Huge storage

Whether you play live or on in the studio, storing patterns is necessary for smooth recording or live performances. The RD-08 includes storage for up to 256 patterns and 16 songs. Meaning you can quickly recall sequences. This also means you can create incredibly complex patterns. Making your music stand out in the process.

Rich sound design

There is an integrated wave designer which has individual attack and sustain controls. This can be applied to different voices which allows you to add new flavours to your beats. Allowing you to close design the timbre of each individual drum sound. There is also a 12dB filter which can be toggled between LPF and HPF. With resonance and cutoff controls, true experimentation is available from within the legendary circuits of the RD-8.
