Featuring the classic Boden body shape, the VG-Strandberg electric guitar is crafted with a solid basswood body, topped with stunning figured maple. Basswood is a lightweight tonewood, producing a variety of versatile tones with a punchy response and an excellent resonance. The maple top provides a visually unique aesthetic, as the translucent blue finish allows the stunning grain to shine through. As well as visual appeal, the VG-Strandberg guitar's unique body shape provides optimum comfort, and its cutaway profile allows easier access to the higher frets.

Strandberg’s Patented EndurNeck Profile

The roasted maple neck features Strandberg's patented EndurNeck profile, providing players with a beautifully smooth neck designed for the ultimate comfort. Unlike rounded neck profiles, the EndurNeck features a flat surface to offer a more restful grip for the player’s thumb. The thick design of the neck allows for a stronger grip, offering easy chording at the lower register and smooth soloing at the higher register. The curved rear section and angled surface are designed to encourage the correct playing position, allowing players to hold the neck with a straighter wrist and decrease the amount of stress on their muscles, joints, and tendons for a more comfortable performance.

To provide players with an incredibly versatile tone, Boss have equipped this guitar with their leading-edge V-guitar technology which also complement the Borden’s innovative and modern design. The VG-Strandberg features two powerful Lace Alumitone humbuckers and a single divided type pickup, with a mode switch and a 5-way selector to offer an incredible range of tonal possibilities. Choose from a range of modelled humbucking and single coil pickups, electric sitar sounds, and acoustic guitar tones, along with five incredible synth sounds including three variations of Roland’s iconic GR-300 guitar synthesiser from the early 80s.

Along with its incredible tonal possibilities, comfortable performance, and high-grade hardware, the Boss Strandberg guitar also features six different tunings which are accessible with a turn of the tuning knob. Choose between standard tuning and 5 variations of down tunings to create incredible tonal soundscapes, all without adjusting string tension. These tunings include semitone down, whole-step down, drop D, drop C#, and drop C to ensure the VG-Strandberg Guitar can keep up with any playing style.
