View Full DescriptionThe EarthQuaker Devices Bit Commander requires some basic rules to be followed to provide you with a killer sound everyone will enjoy, the same as with all analog octave effects: Use the neck pickup and only play single notes (chords will result in a muddy and confusing mess!). The most pleasing effects will be available to you when playing from the 7th fret up, below this will work but may mean occasional glitches and stuttering; the lower the note the harder it is for the Bit Commander to compute. This device offers some weird tones, sometimes amazing and sometimes horrific, but none of these are flaws it's just the nature of analog octaves. With some trial and error, tweaking and perfecting, you'll find sounds unreachable by any other pedal when using the EarthQuaker Bit Commander and it will carry on impressing you for years on end.
The unit is analog, handmade in Ohio, USA, and true bypass, meaning a fantastic natural tone.
