Crafted from solid mahogany, the 2017 Firebird offers top quality and the perfect resonance. Originally designed by car designer Ray Dietrich in the 1960s, who based the design on 1950's car tail-fins, the classic Firebird body shape provides the ultimate comfort as well as a renowned style icon.
The Gibson Firebird Studio T Electric Guitar features a stunning rosewood fingerboard, complete with 22 high polished frets. As wells as offering a prestigious look, these high polished frets allow for smoother bends, and a fluid hand movement across the whole fingerboard, which is ideal for soloists out there.
The Firebird is greatly equipped with two ceramic humbucker pickups, that are primarily aimed at the rock guitarists out there. These pickups, especially the 496T, offer an incredibly high gain with perfect sustain and note definition. As well as the 496T, the 496R delivers a a very high output, with an enhanced sustain. Overall, the choice of powerful pickups provide the perfect rock guitar!
Tune-O-Matic bridges are an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to their stability, reliability, comfortable playing position and impressive sustain. Additionally adjusting the string action and intonation is extremely simple with a tune-o-matic bridge. Simply adjust the height of the bridge with the mounting rods to alter the action and screw in or out the bridge saddles to achieve perfect intonation.
