Basswood Body

The Ibanez RG655 features a strong and sturdy basswood body finished in a stunning galaxy black colour, with cosmo black hardware to create an otherworldly aesthetic. Players will love the elegant contours and the comfortable performance, suitable for a range of playing styles. In addition, a double cutaway design offers easier access to the higher frets and flexibility across the whole fingerboard.

The Super Wizard HP Maple/Walnut Neck

It’s neck is crafted from maple and walnut, creating an incredibly bright, smooth tone with an excellent sustain and stability. Plying multiple woods together helps strengthen the neck more than single wood necks, offering more stability and prevent warping and bending from extensive performances. Although maple and walnut are a naturally smooth wood, the RG655 PRestige features Ibanez’s super wizard high-performance profile which is designed for shredders. This design is optimised for lead guitarists, as its thin nature helps players perform swift and nimble runs with ease.

Powerful DiMarzio Trio

The Ibanez RG Guitar’s monstrous tone is achieved through the three powerful DiMarzio pickups, featuring an Air Norton humbucker, a The Tone Zone humbucker, and a True Velvet single-coil for the ultimate versatility. Use the Air Norton to create deep, warm tones with superb harmonics, or switching for The Tone Zone to produce a wide dynamic range with a powerful projection. Using the middle True Velvet single-coil provides a more balanced tone than the other two, perfect for times when extra clarity is needed. Use the volume, tone, and 5-way pickup selector to dial in the perfect sound for any situation.

Edge Tremolo

The Edge double locking tremolo system developed and manufactured by Gotoh, a highly regarded and respected company in the world of guitar parts. Originally introduced in 1986, discontinued in 2003, and re-introduced in 2010, the Edge is acclaimed by many guitarists as the finest tremolo system available on the market. It's based on the original Floyd Rose tremolo design, but with a variety of improvements. These include replaceable knife edges, a less bulky saddle, increased mass to improve sustain, locking studs, a spring retainer on the trem block, and a pop-in tremolo arm.

Gotoh Tuners & Locking Nut

The Ibanez Prestige is equipped with a set of Gotoh tuners and a locking nut to ensure the guitar stays in tune through the harshest performances. Its Gotoh tuners are designed with incredible tuning stability, offering quick and easy tuning for a stable performance. The Barless Top-Lok Nut is yet another innovative feature from Ibanez which eliminates the need for a retainer bar to maintain string tension. Through its simple design and careful injection moulding production process, it holds the strings at the correct angle whilst remaining smooth and ergonomic.
