The Ibanez RG series is the most recognisable and iconic of the Ibanez guitar ranges and has evolved over three decades to be the ultimate rock instruments. Every aspect of its design is engineered towards a fast playing experience and high-performance use. The RG6UCS-MYF comes from the Prestige range, hand crafted in Japan and featuring Ibanez's ultimate build quality and top specification appointments. This is a guitar that is at the very top end of quality and tone, and will provide you with an outstanding playing experience.
The Ibanez RG6UCS is constructed from basswood which is a particularly versatile tonewood and can be utilised in many styles, giving you a well-rounded tone. The neck is a 5-piece design with titanium rods and is built for strength and stability. The maple and walnut combination provides you with bright and resonant overtones while the dense ebony fingerboard provides you with excellent note attack, a tight low-end and the quick response needed for rock and metal playing. The frets are stainless steel which not only give excellent durability over years of playing but also offer top-end brightness and increased sustain.
The RG6UCS includes the highest quality hardware that will provide you with years of reliable use throughout countless gigs and rehearsals. The Lo-Pro Edge tremolo bridge offers maximum playing comfort with its low-profile design and recessed fine tuners. The locking design gives you excellent tuning stability while the spring system ensures that the guitar will return to pitch accurately even after extreme use. The RG6UCS features the highly regarded Bare Knuckle Aftermath Pickups; hand-wired in the UK to give you premium tones. They deliver accelerated bass response for excellent tracking and articulation when performing staccato riffing. They also give increased mid-range focus and high-end articulation, and will really stand out in the mix.
Every aspect of the RG6UCS is designed to make fast paced playing as easy as possible. The asymmetric body features a deep cutaway alongside a low-profile neck joint to ensure absolute ease of access to the high frets. The neck itself features Ibanez's slim Super Wizard Profile and jumbo stainless-steel frets to ensure a smooth playing experience, especially when playing string-bends. The very wide 16.9" radius is designed for an accurate low-action setup ensuring you'll have the easiest of playing experiences when trying out the most technically demanding techniques.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
