Grand Auditorium Body

The Dean Michael Schenker guitar features a versatile shape; the grand auditorium. The shape is equally as suited to fingerpicking as it is strumming. The grand auditorium is an all-purpose guitar and provides an extremely comfortable playing experience and projects a voice that can accommodate numerous different genres and playing techniques. To provide extra comfort and playability the Performer features a Venetian cutaway design.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables you with more freedom throughout the fingerboard.

Spruce Top & Mahogany Body

The Dean Performer features a spruce top that delivers a broad dynamic range, and crisp articulation. Spruce is well known for its versatility and bright top-end, and is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops as it accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking. The wood itself is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright highs. The spruce top is accompanied by mahogany back and sides, which produces a more focused, woody, punchy mid-range, thick well-defined tone with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The Performer's neck is constructed from mahogany, providing players with great durability and resonance. The reason why many guitar necks are crafted from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking, strumming, and various picking techniques with equal ease. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that delivers a warm, bright, sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger picking techniques. The rosewood fingerboard also provides a smooth and energetic playing experience and is sprinkled with pearl dot inlays.

Dean On-Board Preamp

The Dean Performer features Dean's on-board preamp which provides the ideal setup for the gigging musicians. The DMT FTE-3 preamp features a rotary control for volume, and 3 slider switches for bass, middle, and treble with the convenience of a low battery checker.
