The alder body features a bright tonality with great nuance and dynamic variation; perfect for a wide range of playing styles in both clean and overdriven sounds. The quilted maple top adds a classy aesthetic that will stand out on any stage.
The ESP ST-1 M features a maple neck and fingerboard, creating a bright tone with even harmonics and a powerful fundamental character. The neck is crafted with a thin-U profile, allowing players to easily reach across the entire fingerboard for technically demanding playing. The 24 extra jumbo frets provide enhanced control over the strings while the relatively flat 12'' radius gives a fast playing-feel.
The E-II ST-1 is equipped with a HSS pickup configuration, giving arguably the most versatile of all pickup combinations. The Classic Stack Plus single coil pickups are hand tuned to deliver warm, bell-like tones, with a strong treble response and a balanced bass to create a classic single coil sparkle and chime. Both pickups feature a special bottom coil to provide a negative hum for noiseless performance, while the middle pickup also features a reverse wind reverse polarity setup to offer the perfect in-between sound when split with the bridge and neck pickups. The Pearly Gates humbucker captures the biting PAF pickup tone with extra midrange sizzle to allow pinch harmonics to sing. The alnico 2 magnets keep the pickup's high-end airy and focused, emphasising the midrange to deliver a unique Texas sizzle. Between the bridge humbucker and the two single coils, the ST-1 has a highly versatile tonal range capable of covering all genres and gain-levels.
For many years Floyd Rose has been the leading manufacturer and designer of floating, locking tremolos. With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Original locking tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolo's, the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock.
The guitar is finished off with a range of high-end components to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability and reduce string slippage, while the Schaller straplocks protect against accidental strap release; ensuring players can deliver an energetic performance without worrying about dropping their guitar.
