The Martin Dreadnought Junior is a great value acoustic guitar. It's got the quality of tone you'd expect from a Martin.
Built slightly smaller than a dreadnought, the Martin Dreadnought Junior guitar boasts 14 open frets for a unique design and great range of tone. The top is Solid Sitka Spruce while the back and sides are genuine Solid Sapele, offering strong guitar tone, with crisp, clear subtleties in each note's definition.
The Martin guitar is equipped with a mortise and tennon neck joint, offering the best wood binding practice ever conceived (also used for shipbuilding) the process fuses 2 pieces of wood into a single, sturdy unit that stands up to the elements time and time again. The results are evident with the strength in tone and power in projection that you hear with each strum.
Richlite is slowly becoming a common material for fretboards. A recycled resin compound it gives a tone that's nearly identical to Ebony, its fast, smooth but unlike wood doesn't require any treatment or conditioning.
The 14 open frets 2-1/8" bridge string spacing, and 16" radius add comfort for your intricate fingerboard movements. Great for chords or finger style picking seated or standing.
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
