View Full DescriptionThe DiMarzio D Sonic™ humbucker pickup is intended for the bridge position in solid body guitars, and yields a noticeably different sound depending on the direction in which it is installed. The coil with a solid bar pole piece is a little brighter sounding, and installing the pickup with this coil closest to the bridge provides a more crisp and tight sound. This orientation is excellent for ensuring that your sound remains clear and defined, even with low tunings and heavy distortion. Conversely, if the coil with adjustable pole pieces is towards the bridge, the sound is slightly louder and warmer, perfect for guitar solos and playing in standard tuning.
