100 Watts Driven by EL34 Tubes

The Invade 2 Amp Head offers 100 watts of pure tone power, driven by 4 powerful EL34 power amp tubes to produce excellent dynamics, searing tones, and a focused punch. These tubes are perfect for players who enjoy rich overtones and overdriving their amps, as they provide a rich tube sound much sooner than other tubes. The 100 watts is perfect for all stage settings, offering plenty of headroom for players to push the tubes to their limits for excellent dynamics and extra dimensions.

4 Channels, 16 Basic Sounds

Offering 2 clean channels and 2 overdrive channels with switchable gains and a sound switch, the ENGL Invader 2 features 16 basic sounds for players to adjust to suit their needs. Switching the amp into high gain mode boosts each channels gain and amount of distortions for new tonal possibilities, from channel 1’s dynamic and slightly distorted tones to Channel 4’s excessive amounts of gain and sustain. Low gain mode provides cleaner tones than high gain, from Channel 1’s sweet, clear tones to Channel 4’s pleasant preamp saturation. Use the sound switch to change the character of each channel, vastly extended the amps application range and allow players to shape the amp’s fundamental sound.

Excellent Tone shaping Capabilities

Even with its wide range of voices the amp provides, the engineers at ENGL have equipped the Invader 2 with an extensive range of controls to provide total control over the sound. Each channel features a dedicated gain, volume, and 3-band EQ for excellent tone shaping, while the presence and depth punch controls change the overall high and low frequency response. The 2 master controls allow players to set up 2 different power amp levels, while the wire/copy button lets players save their custom settings to be called later. The addition of a noise gate helps eliminate unwanted noise, ensuring the amp always produce crisp, clean tones.

Excellent Connectivity

The amp features a range of ins/outs for players to expand their performance, allowing the connection of footswitches or MIDI devices to control the amp’s functions without the need to be near the amp. The stereo jack designed footswitch inputs can be used to connect a footswitch to switch between the 4 channels, or connecting ENGL’s Z-9 custom footswitch to manipulate key functions directly. The featured FX loops allows the connection of external stompboxes, with a balanced control to adjust the level the effects unit influences the amp. With choices between 4 ohm parallel, 8 ohm parallel, and 16 ohms power amp outputs, the amp head can seamless connection to a range of speaker cabinets.
