The E-II Eclipse BB’s body is crafted from mahogany and features a maple top to enhance the guitar's natural bright character. The mahogany tonewood delivers a soft tone, with plenty of grind and bite to keep it well-balanced and create plenty of depth. The guitar’s appealing high end and full, tight low end ensures the overall tonality remains thick and firm, offering plenty of dynamics to accommodate a variety of musical styles. The body is finished in a smooth black satin colour with silver binding and chrome hardware, creating a visually stunning and sophisticated appearance.
The ESP E-II Guitar is equipped with a 3pc maple neck and ebony fingerboard, delivering warm, bright tones with plenty of depth and dynamics. The maple offers roundness to the tone, creating a bright characteristic with an excellent amount of sustain. The addition of an ebony fingerboard helps to tighten up the neck’s tone, giving it a defined feel, excellent clarity, and a fast attack. The maple and ebony combination creates a sparkling, sizzling high end, a controlled bass response, and a snappy midrange with extra presence in the lower mids.
The ESP E-II Eclipse BB incorporates a set of powerful EMG 81 and 60 humbuckers, constructed from close aperture coils and ceramic magnets to deliver advanced detail and a truly meaty tone. EMG pickups are favoured by many professional musicians due to their unbeatable tone, active circuitry, high output, and low noise performance. Setting the guitar into the bridge position will deliver the thick, punchy tonality of the EMG 81, while the neck position produces the warm, crisp tones of the EMG 60.
The guitar is finished off with a range of premium components to ensure players receive the best playing experience possible. The Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece offers incredible string stability, enhancing the overall sustain and resonance while the Gotoh locking tuners improve tuning stability and reduces string slippage. The E-II Eclipse also features Schaller straplocks to protect against accidental strap release, ensuring players can deliver a powerful performance without the worry of dropping their guitar.
