Designed to handle Kirk Hammett’s blistering solos, the KH-602 allows for speed and precision whilst playing. An extra-thin U neck shape allows for fast paced navigation of the fretboard and offers a tight comfortable grip. A smooth Pau Ferro fretboard cushions any impact from powerful picking and means you can effortlessly glide from note to note. 24 extra jumbo frets span along the fretboard, offering plenty of room to position your chords and simultaneously ensuring that you don’t have to reach to voice any chords. All of this works to negate the strain brought on from playing the instrument, making performing easier and less demanding, therefore maximising the time you can spend playing.
The LTD KH-602 is built to produce a diverse and powerful selection of tones. Kitted out with Kirk Hammett’s signature Bone Breaker EMG pickups, the guitar can achieve serene cleans and destructive distortion. EMG have produced these active pickups to add new elements to Kirk’s signature sound, without sacrificing high gain for clean tones or vice-versa. This is all achieved by employing alnico 5 and ceramic magnets within the pickups - combining both separately at the neck and bridge creates the perfect balanced tone. A three-way selector switch makes it possible to swap between a crisp lead and a smooth, rounded rhythm quickly and effortlessly. Tonal freedom is essential to any modern guitar and it’s available in abundance here.
