Key Features
Product Ref: 96539
This new 2017 Postmodern Telecaster features a select ash wood body, delivering that classic Fender twang with sweet, airy tones. The selected ash is incredibly lightweight, allowing you to play without feeling the weight of the guitar. The tonewood delivers excellent resonance and sustain, along with firm lows, pleasing highs, and a scooped midrange. In addition, this lightweight ash body wears a Lush Closet Classic finish, replicating the look of a guitar that’s been on the road for years.
As well as offering a lightweight ash body, this Postmodern Telecaster also features a one piece AA Birdseye maple neck with a ’63 Strat “C”-shaped profile, for added authenticity and comfort. Designed for flexible playing, the 9.5"-12" compound radius AA Birdseye fingerboard is curved for easy chord playing near the nut, flattening out for playing smoking leads without fear of fretting out during bends.
For that killer tone, this stunning guitar is equipped with a Red Hot single-coil bridge pickup and fat- Texas Special single-coil neck pickup, which have been carefully selected for searing tone that will set any performance on fire. Achieving the perfect tone is easy, with the volume and tone control, along with a three-position blade.
The Fender Custom Shop Postmodern Telecaster also features a real bone nut, which maintains its classic appearance. The benefit of a real bone nut compared to modern materials is that bone offers an excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone, and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self lubricates and helps you stay in tune for longer.
