The Fender FB-55 banjo has a laminated maple rim with a 24-piece bracket and a laminated mahogany back. A step up from its entry-level brother, the FB-54, it has a maple bridge with a rosewood tip and a chrome bridge cover.

The FB-55 has a mahogany neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with stylised snowflake position inlays. Other features include chrome-covered tuner and a synthetic bone nut.
