The Invisible Shadow finish on the Ibanez RGD2127Z 7-string electric guitar suggests that this is an instrument that wants to go unnoticed, but nothing could be further from the truth. This guitar wants to be recognised for its rich, thick tone courtesy of the V77/V87 Custom humbucking pickups. Specially designed for down tuning, they output the low end with plenty of harmonic tone.

View Full DescriptionThe five-piece maple and wenge neck on the RGD2127Z has been optimised for this rich tone with a longer scale length of 26.5". Fast and playable, it is ideal for speed soloing. The 24 jumbo frets on the rosewood fingerboard have the Prestige fret edge treatment for extra comfort and speed when playing.
The basswood body has deep scoop cuts to give full, comfortable access to the higher frets, and houses the Edge-Zero tremolo bridge. Featuring a sharp knife-edge for extremely accurate tremolo playing, it is designed to keep string action constant and the bridge surface smooth for easy playing without catching your strumming hand. The ZPS3 zero point system makes the guitar easier to tune and provides greater tuning stability, even if a string breaks. It can also be converted to a full floating tremolo setup by simply removing the stop bar.
The RGD2127Z is supplied with a hardshell case to keep it safe from knocks in transport.
