With a Norstrand NP4 at the neck and a NPJ at the bridge, the Ibanez TMB2000 Prestige can offer a wide array of tonal options from responsive, smooth tones to a warm and full bass sound. The NP4 at the neck has a full, round and resonant grind with excellent strength. The overall tonal characteristics of the NP4 are warm, fat and responsive; making it an ideal neck pickup for the Talman Prestige Bass. The NJ4 at the bridge is reminiscent of that 60s vintage sound, with its sparkling high end, balanced tone and colourful characteristics.
The TMB2000 Prestige features a maple neck which offers a bright and clear tone with sweet sustain. Maple necks are also incredibly smooth and therefore allow you to rock your bass with comfort and ease. The maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard for warmth, articulation and enhanced richness to soften the overall sound.
The alder body offers incredibly balanced tones and the perfect dynamic range to suit a variety of musical styles. Alder provides excellent sustain and resonance ensures each note rings out and is clearly heard. Alder as a body tonewood also brings bright, sizzling highs, rounded lows, and beefy midrange for the ideal bass sound.
