The JHS Pedals Pulp 'N Peel Compressor features three controls - Volume, Compression and Blend - giving you a number of tonal options. With the Compression control fully turned down, the pedal acts as a clean booster, allowing you to use the Volume knob to strengthen your pure guitar sound. This is especially useful when placed before your Fuzz or Distortion pedals, enabling you to drive the effect harder for a thicker, fatter and more heavily saturated sound.

Natural and Transparent Compression

Turning up the Compression steadily evens out the dynamics of your playing for a more controlled, consistent sound. This can range from a subtle taming of the loudest peaks to a more extreme tightening of your sound, but the Pulp 'N Peel's natural transparency prevents your guitar from sounding "squashed" or losing definition, even with high compression levels.

Versatile Blend Control

The Blend control enables you to combine the processed signal with your original uncompressed tone however you like, so that you can retain a flavour of your guitar's natural attack while keeping the overall sound tight and controlled. Turning it down brings in more of your untouched signal, allowing the nuances of your playing to shine through. Conversely, turning it up adds more of the compressed signal for a more polished, professional sound.
