The Hellraiser features an EMG 81-7 humbucker situated at the guitar's bridge, and a Sustainiac pickup at the neck, offering powerful tones with a versatile sustain. The EMG 81-7 features powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to deliver an intensely detailed tone with a high end cut and fluid sustain, perfect for leads to cut through the mix. The Sustainiac pickup is a retrofitted EMG that can produce incredible tones with a sustain that can be changed to suit your needs. With a 3-way control switch for choosing different modes of sustain, the Sustainiac can be used to create interesting sounds.
This model also comes designed with a Floyd Rose 1000, which allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. The bridge works in tangent with the locking nut for increase string stability and prevents the strings from detune after excessive bending.
Schecter's Hellraiser is a well-balanced guitar from aggressive crunchy sounds to rich, clean tones, perfect for the modern day player. The Quilted Maple top provides a great resonance, enhancing the natural tones of the body wood, whilst the maple's figuring provides a stylish and unique look. The Mahogany body offers naturally warm tones, with a touch of bite for creating tights lows and appealing highs. With abalone binding, black chrome hardware, and a Floyd Rose bridge, the Hellraiser is given a black cherry finish to create a stunning guitar that reflects the tones it can produce.
The 3-piece Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard has been designed with a thin "C" shape for a smooth, fast play, whilst the naturally oily Rosewood fingerboard absorbs stray overtones for a rich sound. The Mahogany/Rosewood combination produces warm, mellow tones with complex highs, thick, creamy lows, and an appealing midrange. It also comes with many other features including Grover machine heads and Gothic cross inlays on the fingerboard.
