The Hellraiser Solo-6 has a familiar single cutaway guitar design, yet brings Schecter's own adaptations to give it an individual look. The body is crafted from mahogany which provides a warm, mid-focussed and resonant tonality with plenty of sustain. A maple top adds brightness and a stunning aesthetic for the stage. The body has abalone binding, adding to its stand-out design.
The body is mounted to a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard – a time tested design that gives great resonance and note articulation. These tonewoods are classic combinations that have proved their worth over decades of manufacture, giving you a familiar and well-balanced sound. The body has deeper contours than traditional instruments, making this guitar particularly comfortable to play over extended periods.
The EMG pickups both have a completely independent single coil in their chassis. This goes beyond the usual coil-tap design and provides you with true single coil tone, switchable to humbucker sounds in an instant.
The 81TW and 89 are loaded with Alnico V magnets giving you a rich and warm humbucker sound with great clarity and articulation. The single coil mode, accessed via a push pull pot, delivers the traditional single coil sound: bright, airy, and chimey. In either mode, the clean sound is pristine and has a lot of presence.
With these two pickups and multiple combinations, the Hellraiser Solo-6 is an incredibly versatile guitar that will cover all styles of rock and metal, and even lower-gain genres.
The Hellraiser Solo-6 features modern specifications for an effortless playing feel. The mahogany neck has a comfortable thin profile and 16'' radius. The 24 frets are extra-jumbo for superior control over the strings when playing bends and applying vibrato. The neck is mounted to the body with an "Ultra Access" neck joint, meaning that you'll find it just as easy playing at the top of the neck as you will at the bottom. This neck is a no-compromise design for the most technically demanding of playing styles.
A Floyd Rose Tremolo gives access to extreme whammy bar tricks and vibrato effects. The double locking design ensures tuning stability, even after the most extreme whammy bar abuse. The Grover machine heads provide accurate tuning and excellent stability with the 3-piece neck.
