The Quick Swap feature makes it easier than ever before to explore different pedal routings. Hold down the two footswitches you want to swap and it’s done.

TC Electronic know that your drive pedal is important to you so they've made it so you can include your own favourite stompboxes via the insert loop. Add your style of gain anywhere on the board you like. Or, you can use the same insert for 4-cable method setup with your amplifier, letting you choose which effects go in front of your amp’s input and which effects live in your amp’s effects loop. A lesson in expression

The Plethora X5 is equipped with five MASH footswitches which work in a similar way to an expression pedal to let you control up to three effect parameters simultaneously through completely customisable action curves. Oh, and speaking of expression pedals. You can also hook up your own expression pedal that might offer different controls to the MASH footswitches. So, you can express any effect on the board in any way you like.
