Figured Walnut Body & Spruce Top

The Tanglewood Discovery DBT D BW features a stunning spruce top that offers a broad dynamic range, versatility, crisp articulation, and accommodates numerous playing techniques with ease. The wood itself is quite elastic in nature, which resonates well whilst remaining strong, and provides a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm midi-range, and bright singing highs. The spruce top is contrasted beautifully by the walnut back and sides that produce a unique earthy tone which records in a distinctive manor. Walnut is less dense than rosewood and mahogany, yet still very resonant, delivering excellent tonal balance, earthy trebles, bright attack.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that offers a warm, bright, sparkly tone that really shines through when playing finger-picking techniques. Rosewood fingerboards also offers a smooth and energetic play. The neck is finished in natural open pore satin for a sleek, smooth, and stunning appearance. The mahogany neck offers durability, strength, and added rich-warmth blended with great playability for the players pleasure. Mahogany is used frequently as timber for guitar necks because it provides durability, and the wood responds greatly to picking styles, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease.

Dreadnought Body Shape
