The XONE:PX5 offers the signature warm analogue Xone sound with leading digital connectivity. The XONE:PX5 incorporates a high-quality 20 channel 96kHZ, 24-bit USB2 soundcard enabling seamless integration into digital DJ setups. The high-quality soundcard supports DVS control of Native Instruments' Traktor Scratch Pro 2 DJ software allowing you to use the software's control media (control vinyl or CDs) to scratch and mix with the digital music stored on your computer.

Xone:Xcite FX suite

The XONE:PX5 Analogue FX DJ Mixer features the Xone:Xcite FX suite, a high-class FX suite that is specifically tailored for DJ performances. The XONE:PX5 has it's own array of built-in FX that can be controlled with the digital interface on the right-hand side of the mixer. Using the FX is seamless with its intuitive and familiar controls that provide instant, instinctive operation for adding energy and excitement to your DJ performance. The XONE:PX5 provides the user with flexible routing for FX allowing them to assign the FX to each channel, the master or sends which can be pre or post. With the added feature of the send control knob above each channel, it makes it easy for the user to control the amount of send going on for each channel.

For each channel, you also have the option to choose whether to send the signal to the internal or external FX or even both of them together for more advance FX processing. Another convenient feature of the Xone:Xcite FX suite is you now have the ability to dial in the BPM of the effects manually providing you with much more flexibility for the FX. The XONE:PX5 FX suite is focused on DJ orientated effects. Allen & Heath decided to go with more delay and reverb effects that would be used more regularly than to have a wide variety of other effects that would never be used. The list of effects include Masif-Q delay, PCM delay, filter delay, delay & reverb, mod delay, tape echo, clean plate, swell verb, concert hall, tiled room, attack gate, reso gate, flanger, pitch verb, timewarp and distortion.

External connections

With the XONE:PX5 you have the ability to connect external software/hardware instruments such as drum machines and synthesizers that can be connected via 1/4 inch jack input connections. The integrated MIDI clock engine can send start/stop messages to external devices. Additionally, the XONE:PX5 can send/receive MIDI clock information through its USB connection as well. X:LINK is still available on the XONE:PX5 allowing you to connect up the Xone:K series controllers to your setup whilst saving USB ports on your computer. The XONE:PX5 offers both classic and advance DJ setups allowing you to get your perfect DJ set of vinyl, CD/media player, laptop, external software/hardware and external FX units.

Build and layout

The XONE:PX5 is a powerful DJ and club mixer that is solidly built with robust faders and controllers, and a clean layout. The volume faders provide smooth control and are clearly designed for long smooth transitions between electronic tracks, particularly house and techno. However, the crossfader features 3 different crossfaders curves so if you are a scratch DJ you can choose the best setting for your mixing style.

The crossfader is also Innofader compatible, allowing you to upgrade to an Innofader Pro 2 crossfader for the ultimate performance. The fader is a popular choice among scratch DJs. The lights, buttons and digital screen are brightly lit, enabling you to clearly identify which tracks are active with FX and check the sound level of each channel.
