The AKG D5 C S Dynamic Vocal Microphone is the perfect handheld microphone for a variety of intensive performances, both on stage and in the studio. Featuring AKG's patented Varimotion diaphragm and a cardioid polar pattern, the D5 C S microphone accurately captures vocals and delivers a crisp, crystal-clear sound which cuts through with presence. The AKG D5 C S and D5 C share an identical design, both acoustically and internally, with the addition of a click-free on/off switch on the D5 C S. The AKG D5 C S dynamic microphone remains sensitive to vocals, while withstanding sound pressure levels up to 160dB and minimising both off-axis sound and handling noise.

Varimotion from AKG is a unique, patented technology that allows the production of a diaphragm whose thickness varies along its diameter. With this technology, AKG have been able to precisely tune the capsule for optimal performance, providing a powerful, clear, feedback-free sound.
