The Yamaha DXS12 Active Subwoofer features a highly efficient Class-D amplifier capable of 950-watt peak power. The 12 inch woofer provides a sound full of clarity and the 2.5 inch voice coil delivers a refined, low-frequency bass. An intuitive D-XSUB bass processing system allows total control over the low frequency with three modes (Normal, Boost, Xtended LF). All the components of the DXS12 are protected within an extremely high damage resistant cabinet lined with LINE-X Coating. The extremely compact housing ensures easy transport and an unobtrusive presence within a setup.

Thunderous Bass Performance

Contributing to the overall powerful performance of the DXS12 is the 950W amplifier. With an exceptional sound pressure level of 131dB, the speaker emits tones with minimal distortion even at high output levels. The 2.5" voice coil magnet ensures a defined, low-frequency bass. This low frequency can be controlled via the D-XSUB bass processing system. The 'NORMAL' mode gives users the ideal, balanced response, whilst 'BOOST' delivers a more refined bass. 'XTENDED LF' mode provides a monstrous bottom end by dropping the low-frequencies down even further than normal.
