The Performance headphones feature a material combination of soft-touch lacquer and glossy accents that give the earcups a casual elegance, while a spacious inner design for wearer comfort was a high construction priority. High quality protein leather ear pads contain memory foam and will adjust themselves to fit your head shape snugly, allowing for a comfortable fit and the best possible insulation against external noise. A comfortable headband, designed to snugly fit every individual headshape completes the excellent wear characteristics of the Performance headphones. A titanium coated sound transducer offers impressive tonal range and clarity of sound from the 880s and come in an elegant colour combination of black and gunmetal.

A detachable 3 meter cable with 3.5mm jack and 6.3mm screw-on adapter is provided, allowing you to switch between cables of your choice quickly and easily. Also included with the 880 is an additional 1.2m cable with microphone and remote control, gold-plated and angled 3.5mm jack for mobile use and an additional velour and memory foam ear pad set.

The patented S-Logic technology is described as Natural Surround Sound System. No other digital surround system can compare with this standard. As the sound of a normal headphones will sound direct and even on both sides, the S-Logic system pushes the sound around your head! It appears as though you are listening to speakers meters away. Even at very low levels, this spacious sound allows you to hear and listen to each and every individual sound. And on top of that, the S-Logic technology does not require additional equipment.

S-Logic Plus profits directly from innovations developed for the flagship Edition range, the ultimate headphones for critical listening. This sophisticated new technology combines precision dampening with micro-acoustic reinforcement, allowing driver, buffer-board, and spatial parameters to complement one another in an optimal manner. So the acoustically redesigned ear-cups of these new models and their tonal fine-tuning result in a most neutral sound impression with more vivid perception of voices and instruments.

This innovation is based on a funnel-shaped arrangement for the sound transducer, oriented downwards to the front. This specific funnel-shaped structure allows the transducer to be further away from the ear and therefore results in a much more spatial forward positioning effect. The main purpose of S-Logic EX technology was to further optimise the already impressive S-Logic effect. Intensive research and many years of testing have directed in this funnel-shaped composition for the titanium-coated sound transducers, downwards to the front. These new titanium-coated sound transducers are an innovation specially adapted to this acoustic task.
