The MXL 2003A Large Capsule Condenser Microphone is perfect for capturing studio-grade vocal and instrument recordings, providing rich sound quality that captures every subtle detail. The large-diaphragm design of the 2003A provides a fuller and more defined sound. Taking inspiration from vintage studio microphones, the 2003A utilises a classic-style capsule with a transformerless FET preamp. Suitable for a range of recording applications, the 2003A provides ultra low-noise performance with onboard controls for customising your sound. The built-in bass roll-off control allows you to minimise unwanted low-end frequencies, whilst the 10dB pad attenuates the mic so it can cater to louder sound sources without distortion.

Vintage-style capsule design - classic warmth and smooth response

What sets the 2003A apart from conventional condenser microphones is the unique large, vintage-style capsule design. This unique capsule is directly inspired by classic studio microphones, providing the analog warmth and smooth response that only vintage gear can. Accompanying the capsule is a transformerless FET preamp with provides an ultra smooth response with a wide frequency range, ensuring the mic will capture every nuance in immense detail.

Be ready for anything. The MXL 2003A also features onboard controls to customise the sound of the microphone. The bass roll-off switch is perfect for removing unwanted low-end rumble that can be caused by high sound pressure levels or bass-heavy sound sources. This helps to provide a clearer and more defined end-product without having to break out the EQ. There is also a 10dB pad which is useful when recording louder sound sources, helping to lower the level of the incoming signal for clean and distortion-free recordings.

Complete with shock mount and protective carry case

Get started straight out of the box thanks to the inclusion of an accessory package, complete with the 2003A. The accessory pack features everything you need to get started including a black shock mount to eliminate structure-borne noise and attach the mic to a stand.
