The Miktek MK300 delivers class leading audio quality at an affordable price tag, thanks to its premium-quality capsule, superior circuitry and sweet output transformer. The wide frequency range (20Hz – 20kHz) and cardioid pickup pattern ensures the microphone captures every nuance of your source material with precision and clarity. The custom built Miktek transformer and hand-selected transistors produce a response like classic vintage microphones. The result is a warm yet articulate tone that boasts a full bottom end and crystal clear top end response.

Three Selectable Pickup Patterns

The MK300 features three selectable pickup patterns, ideal for a range of different recording applications. The Cardiod pattern is ideal for capturing studio-quality vocal performances, as it picks up audio directly in front of the microphone, minimising any background noise for enhanced detail. The bidirectional pattern is ideal for duets, interviews and other applications where you need to record two audio sources at once. The omnidirectional pattern picks up everything around the microphone, ideal for drum overheads, recording instruments and more.

Design & Construction

the Miktek MK300 includes a custom Miktek 1-inch Capsule 5-micron Mylar, evaporated gold diaphragm. The diaphragm itself is precisely tensioned and mounted to a tune backplate to create the capsule. The microphone also features a 100Hz high-pass filter & -10dB Pad switches for added versatility, allowing you to cater to different sound sources and environments. The MK300 comes complete with a vinyl pouch, swivel-mount and shock-mount.
