What's new in firmware update V2.1.2

With the new firmware V2.1.2 update, you gain access to more features that make the RodeCaster Pro an even more powerful podcasting and live streaming tool that includes MIDI control, new sound pad modes, nine language options and much more.

A major step forward in firmware V2.1.2 means that your RodeCaster Pro can now be used as a USB MIDI controller. Now you have complete control over your projects and computer functions directly from your RodeCaster Pro, helping to improve your workflow and unlock features that weren't previously available. With the USB MIDI compatibility, you can sync fader levels between your DAW and your RodeCaster Pro as well as change scenes on the fly while streaming using the sound pad buttons.

New sound pad modes include a 'Swear Button' and 'Trash-talk' function. The Swear Button lets you mute all other channels and play your loaded sound when triggered and the Trash-talk button mutes your Bluetooth audio outputs meaning any remote guests won't be able to hear you.

For international users, RodeCaster Pro and the Companion App now offers nine new language options, making it easier to learn and navigate your way through your RodeCaster Pro in your native tongue.

For more reliable compatibility with Windows computers, firmware V2.1.2 introduces a newly designed ASIO driver. Audio software such as Cubase and Adobe Audition should now connect to your RodeCaster Pro with more stability than before, letting you finish your projects quicker.

Connect and record

The RodeCaster Pro is made primarily of four high-quality microphone channels. The inputs are pre-routed meaning you can connect your microphones quickly and start recording your podcast within minutes of set up. Plug in the microphones, set the levels and record your content to a microSD card. Or plug it into your digital audio work station and use it as a mixing desk and interface. The portability is really where RodeCaster Pro shines, it has a small form factor and is relatively light. It'll be good to go when you're out in the field. And of course, it can power condenser microphones so it's ready for whatever you throw at it.

Incorporate sound FX

The RodeCaster Pro features eight programmable sound effects pads. Add your jingles, sound effects and other audio assets to your podcast with these awesome and responsive trigger pads. The simple 'drag and drop' interface means it's easier than ever to change your sound effects and jingles, ready for the next show. Not only are they great for triggering your audio assets, but you can also colour code them too so there's no need to label them with ugly stickers.

No hang ups

The RodeCaster Pro is amazing at handling calls too. Simply connect your phone to the RodeCaster Pro via Bluetooth and answer the call. The RodeCaster Pro automatically provides mix-minus audio cancelling to prevent any echo being heard by the caller so your conversations can go on and on without distraction. Telephone interviews never sounded so good.
