Whether you're broadcasting, performing live or recording in the studio. The DT 250s will be an excellent asset. It's understandable why they've earned their title as one of the most balanced sounding pairs of headphones on the market. The entire frequency spectrum is represented evenly, whilst the 16dBA of ambient noise attenuation provides great acoustic isolation thanks to the advanced circumaural ear cushion design and secure headband pressure.
The DT 250s allow you to hear sound as it was originally intended, providing accurate representations of audio without colouration. Their balanced sound impression has often been described as organic and natural, reproducing every little nuance with precision. With such a prolific reputation in the audio world, the DT 250s are ideal for those searching for a high-performance monitoring solution with an honest and linear response.
Beyerdynamic understand just how important it is to keep your hearing safe at all times. That's why they've installed a passive limiter within this version of the DT 250s. The passive limiter uses a two-stage concept to remove audio spikes. The limiter works in a similar way to a audio compressor with a quick attack and slow release. Once the signal reaches the 88db threshold it is turned down by up to 6dB. After this, a second hard limiter is in place that works like a brick wall limiter if the input volume is further increased. Thanks to this versatility the passive circuitry needs no additional source of power. You can ensure useful noise limiting at the final stages of your signal chain. The limiter was designed to work in harmony with the acoustical specifications of the headphones for maximum protection.
"For detail and separation, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better model. Bass, too, while not amplified or overpowered, still sounds natural and pleasing on the DT 250. It's a very clean-sounding headphone that lends itself to damn near any genre." - Major HiFi
