From subtle, transparent tweaks to radical sound overhauls, you can get the effect you need with the dbx 286s. The compressor can have a high ratio or be used in patented OverEasy® mode. From light acoustic tracks to full on rock performances, the 286s has you covered.

The de-esser tackles vocal sibilance but you can also use it to remove the harshness or prevent high frequency distortion on other instruments, like cymbals or guitars. High and low frequency enhancement are also just an adjustment away. Add some high end sparkle or low end fullness with the turn of a knob.

Stay in the loop

Precise LED monitoring means you'll always be aware of the state of the important settings on your channel strip. LEDs show you the preamp level, gain reduction on the compressor, as well as info on the de-esser, expander, and a clipping indicator. Be totally aware of the state of your channel strip and have total peace of mind at your gigs.
