With 11 built-in instruments including soprano, alto, tenor and baritone sax, the Aerophone Go enables you to explore a multitude of musical genres. Even if the saxophone is your preferred instrument, playing around with clarinet, violin, or even synth sounds can be very satisfying and hugely inspiring. Downloading and connecting the free Aerophone Go Plus app allows you to explore an additional 50 sounds and enables you to customise onboard settings to suit your personal style.
Never again will you have to worry where the nearest power outlet is. The Aerophone Go is highly portable, only requiring four rechargeable NI-MH (AA) batteries that allow you to play anywhere. With the built-in speaker, you can play with high-quality sound without needing external equipment such as connections, leads and speakers. Once combined with a pair of headphones, you can play the Aerophone Go at any time of day, or night, without disturbing family or neighbours. Only weighing 695g (1 lb. 9oz.), and coming in a lightweight soft case, the Aerophone Go is perfect for travelling musicians.
Once you connect the Aerophone Go to Roland's Aerophone Go Plus app, then the experience becomes even more exciting. The Aerophone Go Plus app is a free app for iOS and Android devices that offers many different ways to learn a specific song. With the app, you can study your favourite songs as it enables you to slow the tempo, or even loop sections so you can practise at your own pace. The Aerophone Go Plus app also provides an additional 50 sounds to cover an even wider range of musical genres. Within the app it is possible to adjust performance settings including the sensitivity of the bite sensor and breath control, as well customising the fingering type.
With the free Aerophone Go Ensemble App you can connect up to seven Aerophone Go players to perform together wirelessly. Each performer can choose from 19 sounds on the smartphone with each musician having a different sound. When performing, the sound is mixed within the smartphone, and by connecting a monitor speaker everyone can hear the ensemble. The Roland Aerophone Go Ensemble app is perfect for street performances, practice sessions or classroom learning.
With compatible traditional sax and recorder fingerings, the Aerophone Go is a good way to learn a woodwind instrument. The included mouthpiece features a sensitive breath sensor that functions as a bite sensor. This bite sensor enables expressive techniques such as vibrato and pitch so you can perform in virtuosic styles. With the Aerophone Go, beginners can explore the onboard sounds straight away for an enjoyable learning experience. More experienced players will appreciate that they don't have to learn a new fingering system or adapt their existing technique to play the Aerophone Go.
