The Stentor Student 2 is great for intermediate and advancing students. You would be comfortable with this bass as you are progressing to higher grades at the double bass. High quality materials

This instrument is made out of the solid tonewoods, maple and spruce. These woods are selected specially for their tonal properties. The bass is carved on the front with spruce and back and sides are carved from maple. Maple is a traditional wood used in string instrument construction and is the same wood you'll find on top of the range and antique instruments. The carved front and back is fairly rare on basses at this price as usually they are made of a laminated wood. The fingerboard is made from ebony, this is another sign of quality as cheaper instruments often don't feature ebony fingerboards, ebony construction makes this more durable and offers a superior tone colour. The machine heads are full plate brass ensuring a precise and stable tuning.
