The EXS 3

The EXS 3 has a smaller spatial footprint than the EXS 5. This compact set requires less space for installation, while providing realistic drum sounds generated by the incorporated xD3 module. This set is an ideal choice for beginners and experienced players needing a second kit at home either for practice or recording. Compared to the EXS 2, the EXS 3 has larger snare, tom and cymbals pads. This ensures a closer, more authentic replication to the feel of an acoustic kit.

xD3 Drum Module

ATV's xD3 module enables drummers of all levels to fully express themselves while articulating their dynamics and ideas. The module's high-speed trigger analysis and low-latency sound production ensure unrivalled performance response and feel sensitivity. Meanwhile, the actual samples on offer represent modern and vintage instruments tuned perfectly and in peak condition - recorded in world-class studios using custom, boutique equipment. With a visual metronome tool, recording capabilities and set-up functions for optimising performance, the xD3 is very much the pulse of the EXS 3.

Full circumference sensitivity

Electronic cymbals unchained. The cymbals can be played and choked anywhere around their full circumference, eliminating the need for rotation stoppers that restrict your cymbals' natural motion. Their innovative design replicates other important details as well, such as how the entire cymbal flexes and wobbles when its edge is struck. With subtle cymbal nuances, this is as close as you can get to the real thing.

A hi-hat pedal that can keep up

Most electronic hi-hat designs use contact-style sensors to detect pedal motion. The downside is that these mechanisms are limited in their accuracy and capability. By comparison, the EXS series hi-hat utilises an optical sensor to provide high-precision sensing that won't lag under any circumstances. Well equipped for rapid playing.
