Play with passion. The Alesis Debut is designed to give you all the benefits of a full acoustic drum kit, with the added bonus of near-silent rehearsal when using the included headphones. This includes the physical sensation of hitting the skins of a real kit, thanks to the four tunable mesh heads. These can be tightened or loosened using a drum key, to find your perfect combination of rebound and response.

The low-profile kick drum and hi-hat pedals, along with the drum and cymbal pads, offer incredible touch-sensitivity, thanks to Alesis' Dynamic Articulation technology. This ensures that the tone of each element changes accurately with the power of your hits, just as a real drum or cymbal would react. From soft, ambient cymbal rolls to bruising rock beats, the Debut's high-tech electronics reproduce every nuance of your playing.

Outside the box

Play along with your favourite songs. The DM-Lite module includes a number of fun features to keep your creativity high. A stereo mini-jack, 'aux in' connection allows you to perform with your heroes as you play along to any track. Alternatively, a pair of 1/4" jack outputs mean you can ditch the headphones and rock out at full volume, by connecting your Debut kit to a PA system, monitor or amp.

Get connected. Love the realistic drum sounds of the Alesis Debut, but don't know where to start? Look no further than Melodics. This intuitive, expansive tutorial app includes more than 60 free lessons in the free version alone, and tracks your playing in real time to help you improve quickly.

Connection to your Mac, PC, or mobile device is easy, via the sound module's USB port. Once you're linked up, simply open the app, select your kit from the drop down menu, and begin working your way through the app's 18 skill levels, matching your hits to the moving on-screen markers. Earn accuracy awards and multi-day streaks as you improve, with daily practice routines so fun, they won't feel like lessons at all.

Immersive Sound Technology

The bundled SideKIK amplifier is more than just a speaker. It features Gear4music’s ‘Immersive Sound Technology’ (or IST) to give you the perfect sound for a large variety of applications. The inclusion and positioning of the 6" woofer ensures that you won't just hear bass, you'll feel it! This is excellent for providing you with an extended bass response to accurately reproduce low-frequency content, such as bass guitars or lower octaves of a digital piano. It faces directly forwards so the low frequency pulses around you help to generate an immersive sound. You'll certainly feel the benefit when practicing with an electronic drum kit. The sideKIK will make kick drums feel and sound just like the real thing!

What's more, the two 3.5" high-frequency tweeters have been carefully angled so it directs straight towards your upper body, making it the perfect floor monitor. The speakers innovative design doesn’t end here. The tweeters are offset away from each other to ensure maximum dispersion of the mid and high frequency spectrum. In short, you’re still going to get that same great sound, whether you’re directly in front of the speaker or whether you’re at the other side of the room. No compromise necessary.

Making connections

The wide range of connectivity options on the rear of the SideKIK makes it an invaluable asset. Two on-board combi-jack inputs allow you to directly connect either dynamic microphones or line-level sources such as electro-acoustic guitars, as well as electronic drum kits and keyboards.

Should you desire to connect your laptop, phone or tablet, channel 3 boasts a 3.5mm TRS minijack input which can be used for monitoring purposes. For stress-free, streamlined set-ups take advantage of Bluetooth connectivity, this transforms the monitor into a fully functional speaker to sit back and enjoy your favourite songs on. It can even be used to perform alongside backing tracks!

All connection ports are positioned on the back panel so you don’t have to fight with a cable just to tweak the volume! The large, stylish dials on the sideKIK are really accessible, meaning you won’t have to reach far if you need to tweak anything mid performance.
