Power up your production. The DD90 arrives with creative options onboard. You’ll instantly have access to 30 preset kits and 17 pre-installed loops, which you can modify with advanced settings like tuning, muffling, and myriad effects. One small square in your setup lets you intuitively layer up with sounds, samples, and loops. Giving you the creative muscle to achieve your vision for your music. But that’s simply the tip of the iceberg with the DD90 – it gives you nearly infinite potential. USB and MIDI are the keys to unlocking that potential. USB memory sticks let you simply install your own sounds and samples. So you can trigger whatever sound you want, when you want. You can also access MIDI through USB or with the 5-pin connector. With MIDI you can use your favourite software to use the DD90 as a MIDI controller. Virtual instruments and control through your DAW means the DD90 becomes supremely flexible, making it one of the most versatile parts of any setup.
For drummers, the DD90 is a fast way to create a hybrid drumming setup. An extension that, combined with the huge number of customisable sounds, lets you specify exactly how your kits expand. So you can augment your playing with claps, clips, and loops. Or even an entire alternative version of your kit. The ability to install custom sound files also means you can add entire layers to your songs when performing. Additionally, the stereo aux-in and output means you can play both the DD90 and any backing tracks from an external device through PA systems. Letting you improvise and make creative decisions on the fly. Importantly, you’ll always trigger sounds the same way. Through the DD90’s velocity sensitive pads, which can trigger different types of sounds, dependent on how hard they are struck. Giving your performance nuances and subtle details, without having to dive into menus.
The DD90 also makes an easy upgrade to your home studio too. While the responsive pads and compact design make it easy to implement and play with. However, small details make it easy to use day-in, day-out. Like rubberised feet, which stop the unit from moving and keep it stable. It’s even equipped with a headphone jack so you can keep the noise to a minimum.
Add extra stereo pads or foot switches to increase your options with the DD90. These function not just as extra voices - but also as methods to control functions like turning your metronome off or off, beginning a loop or switching to a different preset. You can also plug in acoustic drum triggers, using the DD90 as your module, to send electronic sounds to your PA or interface whilst using acoustic drums. A great way to get a consistent sound live, or blend in electronic sounds with your acoustic drums. The DD90 is creative powerpack for your drumming.
The DD90 is so in sync. To get the most bespoke performance possible, the DD90 features free wave manager software, downloadable from this link. Available for Windows 10/8/7/XP/Vista and Mac OSX operating systems, you can import your own samples and start building your custom kits with its intuitive editing software. A software manual is available at this link.
