Key Features
The Ludwig Vistalite 50th Anniversary 22'' Fab drum kit is a unique kit created by Ludwig as part of the legendary Vistalite series. The eye-catching blue acrylic shells provide a retro look reminiscent of Ludwig's legendary players over the years. Its configuration is a basic layout, which features a 14 x 22'' bass drum, a 16 x 16'' floor tom, and a 9 x13'' tom.
With a 6mm acrylic shell, this kit delivers a crisp tonality commonly associated with acrylic shells. Whilst the reinforced seams of the shells allow all power to travel through and not get lost - making this a good kit for stage environments delivering plenty of body and volume. The 45-degree bearing edges situated on the shells help provide a focused sound with optimum power and elevated sustained sounds. Perfect for collectors and drum enthusiasts alike, the Ludwig Vistalite 50th anniversary kit is suited to any drummer looking to add a piece of history to their collection.

Celebrating 50 years of the stunning Vistalite series, first introduced in 1972. Notorious for their attack and stunning transparent aesthetics, the Vistalite acrylic drums are a statement both sonically and visually. Since their introduction, Vistalite drums have been performed on and coveted by some of the world’s top drummers – including John Bonham of Led Zeppelin.
The original Vistalites are a collector's item, available in clear, blue, green, red, amber, and yellow. These kits were famously played by Karen Carpenter, Keith Moon from the Who, Nick Mason from Pink Floyd, Ron Bushy from Iron Butterfly, John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, and Jay Osmond from The Osmonds. In 1976, Ludwig broadened the line with the addition of the Rainbow Vistalites. This kit featured multi-coloured shells. Tequila Sunrise was the most popular release at this time, with a combination of red, orange and yellow stripes. The multi-coloured acrylic shells were co-invented by Elvis Presleys drummer Ronn Tutt.
The Ludwig Vistalite kit features reinforced seam moulded acrylic shells to produce a strong attack with clear, balanced tones which are well suited to a range of genres. The shell is fully stabilised and features a dual reinforced seam for exceptional strength to accompany the eye-catching crystalline look. The high-quality shell is also equipped with durable chrome hardware which adds to the strength of the drums without compromising the stunning design.
