One of the most expressive West African percussion instruments, the talking drum has been used for generations. Based on authentic rope drum designs, the Remo Tamani Talking Drum elegantly produces the famous mimicking of the human voice which this instrument is renowned for.
The drum's vibrant bass tones are enhanced by Remo's proprietary Skyndeep Ultratac film, which contributes to the drumhead's tactile surface. While a warm, high quality sound is further realised using Remo's Acousticon technology. Produced from 100% recycled wood fibre, the drum shell combines an advanced manufacturing process with Remo's special acoustic coating. This optimises the talking drum's natural sound quality and reduces the need for maintenance.
