The Vater Extended Play Series has two unique features that address common wear and tear issues on player's drumsticks. One of those features is a pearl-coloured, specially formulated finish that protects the tip and shoulder of the stick to slow down the early chipping and cracking process. The second feature is Vater's exclusive 3 inch Stick Shield. Located in the rimshot area, this highly impact resistant material is 8x stronger than steel with maximum tensile strength, giving you incredible durability in the rim shot area.

Despite the enhanced durability and new design, the Vater sticks still have the classic Vater stick-feel finish in the grip area. This provides the perfect balance and feel of a Vater hickory stick with the advanced durability and resistance to breakage that defines the Extended Play Series.
