A range of tones from a single pair of sticks

The combination of natural and synthetic materials used to create Sporrans can produce a range of tones from your drumkit. Held together with a comfortable yellow handle, two bundles of sorghum (corn broom material) are combined with a poly bundle. Within the poly bundle is a half inch nylon ball. The result of this is sticks that when reversed produce entirely different tones.

When used on the soft corn side, the Sporrans create loads of cymbal wash and full sounding toms. Reversing to the poly side gives more attack, with the nylon ball defining the cymbal more. Sporran sticks can define the pop of a snare drum, thanks to the nylon ball, whilst the rest of the brush mutes the drum ring. A truly unique sound.
