He is best known for his appearances with bands 'Beck', and 'R.E.M.', and as a member of experimental rock bands 'Atoms for Peace' and 'Ultraísta'. Developing as a student of the renowned teacher, Freddie Gruber, Joey played the drums left-handed. Despite his most recognised work being in the late 1990's and early 2000's, Joey continues to drum up to this day.
