The Meinl Generation X 14 inch Filter China is made from a unique FX9 alloy (69% copper, 15% manganese, 15% zinc, 1% aluminium), creating a flexible yet strong cymbal. Using pressure point technology, the innovative design incorporates holes - hence the word Filter - and a waved edge. These features create a trashy, dark and fast tone that's great for accents.
A mid-bright timbre and wide blade lathing creates a complex, 'sinister' sound that lends itself to drummers looking to explore new sonic territory.
